Send a text message from the library catalog
University of Oregon Libraries have a new (new to me) feature that allows you to send a text message from a library catalog record. The button below appears in the catalog record for an item:

That opens the following dialog box.

Once you fill out the information you get a text message like the one below.

This is great. Instead of students walking around with scraps of papers with call numbers written on them, they can simply text themselves and use that texted information to locate items in the library. The text message includes the title, call number, and the library where the item is located. Obviously these can also be shared. So students can text message each other with catalog records they need to share with classmates.
