Webvisions 2007: Keynote, David Pescovitz
An excellent keynote, with some interesting insight. My thoughts, impressions, take-aways:
- We’re living in a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, ambiguous) world.
- Problems have solutions, dilemmas must be managed.
- Zillionics from Kevin Kelly.
- Ambient displays or devices, displaying information at a quick glance.
- Talked about Limelight, an ambient display of terror-related information.
- There is an old theory that skirts rise with the rise of the stock market, so the stock market skirt is an ambient display of stock market prices.
- Said Digg is like a library where everyone brings their own books. Not sure how I feel about this yet, but he’s got a point.
